Works great!
I needed a depth sounder for a small sailboat but I didn’t have an electrical system on board. This fish finder fit the bill perfectly. I have had it out 3 or 4 times and I have had it on for 10 to 12 hours. I am still using my first set of batteries. This kit uses standard components and can be converted later for a permanent installation if I ever upgrade my electrical system. The battery compartment is water tight and held closed with screws. When the batteries wear out I will probably wait until I reach shore to change them in the small boat.
